Aubrey and I are blogging together. Four blogs in one house with only two computers is a lot to manage and we are keeping very busy. We have common ground to work on...both computers are in the basment, so both of us have chilled fingers, toes and noses. No audible sounds besides tapping keys and ticking mouses have broken the thoughtful silence. During a break waiting for something to upload...

Aubrey..."Oh my goodness! That looks so good!
Emily (absent-mindedly and distant) "What?"
Aubrey... (almost in awe) "A Cake."

Both pause to take in the thought...

It is 5:30, and yes, we are very hungry. Bad time to visit a recipe site.

"I will be found by you..." - God

I read Jeremiah 29 yesterday and these verses jumped out at me...

"Then you will call upon Me and go and pray to Me, and I will listen to you. And you will seek Me and find Me, when you search for Me with all your heart. I will be found by you, says the LORD, and I will bring you back from your captivity; I will gather you from all the nations and from all the places where I have driven you, says the LORD, and I will bring you to the place from which I caused you to be carried away captive."

I am shocked anew every day with the reality of the persecution and trouble that is menacing our nation. Whatever God chooses to do with His people in these times, He desires us to call on Him. "I will be found by you" ... adds so much to His promise "you will find Me"  How marvelous and wonderful a mystery that He should cause my wayward heart to seek Him.

Increase my faith. God give me a disire to find you. Fill all my heart with it.

Morning

I am having my devotions and watching God call out the sun again! Another brilliant morning is throwing its glory blanket over the cold horizon, shedding long level rays of gold through the chilly spring air. Every blade of grass crowned with morning dew reflects the light. Every tree casts a silver shadow on the thawing earth, and so appears to lean into the warmth. They are columns of gold in this temple stretching forth shadowy arms as if to lift up the roof of heaven, azure and clear as glass. All of creation bows before you, O God. How can my heart do anything but praise You?
